01Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the websites, applications, digital platforms, products, programs and services operated by Pitchvilla Private Limited (“Pitchvilla”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By accessing our website, creating an account, registering for a program, purchasing a service, uploading information or otherwise using our platforms, you agree to these Terms and any applicable service-specific terms presented to you.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the relevant service.

If you use Pitchvilla on behalf of a company, educational institution, employer, startup, investor or other organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. In that case, “you” may refer to both you and that organisation, as applicable.

Additional terms may apply to particular services, including course enrolments, software subscriptions, consulting engagements, founder programs, recruitment services and events. If a service-specific agreement expressly overrides a provision of these Terms, that agreement will govern the specific matter to the extent of the conflict.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude any right or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

06Hiring, Recruitment and Job Portal Terms

6.1 Nature of the platform

Pitchvilla may facilitate interactions between job seekers, employers, recruiters, educational institutions and other hiring partners.

Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, Pitchvilla acts as a platform or facilitator and does not become the employer of a candidate merely because a job listing, candidate profile or recruitment service is available through the Platform.

6.2 No guarantee of employment

Pitchvilla does not guarantee:

  • A job, internship, interview or selection.
  • A particular salary, compensation package, designation or career outcome.
  • Acceptance of a resume or application by an employer.
  • The availability or continuation of any job vacancy.
  • Any particular hiring timeline or recruitment result.

Placement assistance, career guidance, training and candidate referrals do not constitute a promise of employment.

6.3 Candidate responsibilities

Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of their resumes, qualifications, experience, employment history, portfolio, identity details and other submitted information.

Candidates must not fabricate qualifications, experience, references, certificates or employment records.

Candidates should independently verify the identity and legitimacy of prospective employers and must exercise caution before paying money, sharing sensitive information or accepting an offer.

6.4 Employer and recruiter responsibilities

Employers and recruiters must:

  • Provide accurate job descriptions and vacancy information.
  • Have appropriate authority to advertise the vacancy.
  • Use candidate information only for lawful and relevant recruitment purposes.
  • Comply with applicable employment, privacy, anti-discrimination and data protection laws.
  • Avoid fraudulent job offers, misleading salary claims, impersonation and unauthorised candidate-data sharing.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards for candidate information.

Employers are responsible for their hiring decisions, employment offers, workplace conditions, background checks and contractual arrangements with candidates.

6.5 No employment relationship with Pitchvilla

Use of the Platform does not by itself create an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship between Pitchvilla and a candidate, employer or recruiter.

Any employment relationship is between the relevant employer and candidate, unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise.

6.6 Job listings and third-party information

Job listings, employer profiles, vacancies and recruitment information may be supplied by third parties. Pitchvilla may review, verify, edit, reject or remove listings, but does not guarantee that every listing or third-party representation is accurate, complete, current or independently verified.

Users should perform their own due diligence before relying on a job listing or accepting an offer.

07Education, Courses, LMS and Certificates

7.1 Enrolment and access

Course details, eligibility requirements, duration, learning format, fees, access period, assessments and deliverables will be specified in the relevant course description or enrolment terms.

Access may be limited to the period stated at purchase. Users must not share credentials, distribute paid course content or permit unauthorised access.

7.2 Learning outcomes

Course descriptions are intended to explain the learning objectives and expected content.

Individual outcomes may vary depending on prior knowledge, attendance, effort, assessment performance, market conditions and other factors.

Pitchvilla does not guarantee a particular level of skill, salary, promotion, employment or business outcome merely because a person enrols in or completes a course.

7.3 Certificates

Where certificates are offered, their eligibility requirements will be specified in the relevant course or program terms. A certificate may depend on attendance, completion, assessment performance, submission of work or other stated requirements.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, a certificate confirms the applicable course or program completion and does not automatically represent a government-recognised qualification, professional licence, university degree or statutory accreditation.

Users must verify accreditation or recognition claims before relying on them.

7.4 Placement assistance

Placement assistance may include career guidance, resume support, interview preparation, job alerts or introductions to potential employers.

Placement assistance does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, minimum compensation or selection by a third party.

7.5 Learning content and acceptable use

Course materials, recordings, assignments, assessments, slides and other educational content may be protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use such content for your personal learning or for another purpose expressly authorised by Pitchvilla. You must not reproduce, distribute, resell, publicly upload or commercially exploit protected content without the necessary permission.

08Startup Programs, Founder Applications and Accelerator Services

8.1 Application and selection

Applications may be evaluated using criteria such as business stage, founder background, program suitability, availability, business model, application completeness and other criteria stated for the relevant program.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, admission, mentorship, access to facilities, investor introductions or any other benefit.

Pitchvilla may request supporting documents or additional information before making a decision.

8.2 Founder responsibilities

Founders must ensure that information supplied in applications, pitch decks, financial projections, business plans and presentations is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Founders must promptly correct material inaccuracies and must not knowingly misrepresent revenue, traction, customers, intellectual property ownership, cap tables, fundraising status, business performance or other material facts.

Founders remain responsible for their businesses, management decisions, financial commitments, legal compliance and dealings with employees, customers, partners and investors.

8.3 No guarantee of funding or investment

Pitchvilla does not guarantee that a founder or startup will:

  • Receive funding or investment.
  • Be introduced to a particular investor.
  • Receive an investment offer or term sheet.
  • Secure a valuation, acquisition, grant or loan.
  • Achieve revenue, profitability, growth or commercial success.

Any investment decision is made independently by the relevant investor or funding provider.

Pitchvilla does not act as a bank, lender, investment adviser, broker, portfolio manager or other regulated financial intermediary unless separately authorised and expressly engaged to provide a service in that capacity. The availability and nature of any fundraising-related service must be assessed against applicable law.

8.4 Program fees and cancellation

Program fees, instalments, inclusions, exclusions, facilities, duration, attendance expectations, cancellation rules and any applicable refund conditions will be disclosed in the relevant program documents or checkout process.

A founder’s withdrawal, non-attendance, failure to complete a program or removal for misconduct will be governed by the applicable program-specific terms and applicable law.

Pitchvilla will not impose a refund restriction that is inconsistent with mandatory legal rights.

8.5 Removal from a program

Pitchvilla may suspend or remove a participant for serious misconduct, fraud, harassment, repeated material violations, misuse of confidential information, non-payment where applicable, or conduct that materially compromises safety, program integrity or the rights of others.

Where reasonably practicable, Pitchvilla may provide notice and an opportunity to respond.

Immediate action may be taken where necessary to address serious risks, subject to applicable law and any contractual requirements.

The financial consequences of removal will be determined by the disclosed program-specific cancellation and refund terms.

09Consulting and Business Advisory Services

9.1 Scope and deliverables

Consulting engagements may be governed by a separate proposal, statement of work, engagement letter or service agreement describing the scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, assumptions, dependencies and responsibilities of each party.

Pitchvilla is not required to provide services outside the agreed scope unless the parties agree to a change.

9.2 Advisory nature of recommendations

Unless expressly agreed in writing, consulting recommendations are advisory in nature and are based on the information available at the time.

Pitchvilla does not guarantee revenue growth, fundraising, profitability, business valuation, customer acquisition, franchise sales, expansion, cost savings, operational improvements or other commercial outcomes.

Business results depend on factors that may be outside Pitchvilla’s control, including implementation, management decisions, financial resources, market conditions, competition, regulatory changes and third-party conduct.

9.3 Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely access to relevant personnel, approvals, data and other reasonable cooperation required for the engagement.

Clients remain responsible for their business decisions, implementation of recommendations, financial decisions and legal compliance.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, Pitchvilla does not provide legal, tax, audit, accounting or regulated financial advice. Clients should consult appropriately qualified professionals for those matters.

9.4 Fees and scope changes

Fees, payment milestones, expenses, timelines, cancellation arrangements and any applicable refund terms will be specified in the relevant engagement document.

Additional work or changes in scope may require written approval and additional fees.

10Investor Connections and Fundraising Support

Pitchvilla may facilitate networking, introductions, pitch preparation, investor-readiness services or other fundraising-related support.

Users acknowledge that:

  1. Investors independently evaluate and decide whether to engage with or invest in a business.
  2. Pitchvilla does not guarantee introductions, meetings, due diligence, funding or investment.
  3. Users must independently verify investor identity, credentials, investment intentions and proposed transaction terms.
  4. Founders are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information shared with investors.
  5. Investors are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and making their own investment decisions.
  6. Pitchvilla is not responsible for investment losses, failed transactions, rejected proposals or disputes between founders and investors, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded or arises from Pitchvilla’s own breach or misconduct.

No information provided through a Platform should be treated as a guarantee of an investment opportunity or a recommendation to invest.

Any regulated financial activity will be undertaken only where legally permitted and subject to the applicable requirements.

11Events, Workshops and Communities

Event descriptions will specify the applicable date, time, venue or online format, ticket price, eligibility, inclusions and any special attendance requirements.

Participants must follow reasonable event instructions and respect the safety, privacy and rights of others.

Pitchvilla may make reasonable changes to speakers, schedules, venues, event formats or program content where necessary. If an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed, the applicable ticket or event-specific policy will determine available remedies, subject to applicable law.

Participation in a community does not entitle a member to uninterrupted access, a particular level of networking, a business result or a guaranteed introduction.

Users must not publish other participants’ confidential information, record private sessions without required permission, or use community access for harassment, spam, fraud or unauthorised solicitation.

Any photography, recording or use of participant testimonials will be subject to appropriate notice, permission or other lawful basis, as applicable.

12Technology Products, SaaS and Digital Services

12.1 Licence and access

Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, Pitchvilla grants the user a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the relevant software or digital Service for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription conditions.

Users do not acquire ownership of the software, underlying source code or associated intellectual property through access or subscription.

12.2 Subscriptions and renewal

Subscription prices, billing periods, renewal arrangements, feature limits, usage limits, cancellation processes and any trial conditions must be stated in the relevant purchase flow or subscription agreement.

Automatic renewal, where offered, must be disclosed and implemented in accordance with applicable law. Users should cancel through the stated process if they do not wish to continue a subscription.

12.3 Availability and maintenance

Pitchvilla may perform maintenance, updates, security changes or service modifications. We will make reasonable efforts to minimise avoidable disruption but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a separate service-level agreement expressly provides otherwise.

12.4 User data and integrations

Users must have the rights and authority necessary to upload or connect information to a technology product. Data handling is governed by the applicable Privacy Policy, service-specific terms and any separate data-processing agreement.

Third-party integrations may depend on the availability, permissions, policies and technical requirements of external providers.

12.5 Security and misuse

Users must not attempt to bypass technical restrictions, interfere with service operations, gain unauthorised access or use a technology product for unlawful purposes.

13Franchise and Business Expansion Services

Pitchvilla may provide franchise strategy, business expansion advice, partner discovery, documentation support or related services.

Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise:

  • Pitchvilla does not guarantee the sale of franchises, acquisition of franchisees, opening of outlets, territory availability or achievement of a specified return.
  • Business projections and financial models are estimates based on stated assumptions and are not guarantees of future performance.
  • Franchisees, business owners and prospective partners must independently evaluate the commercial, legal, tax, regulatory and operational implications of a proposed arrangement.
  • No franchise, licence, territory, agency or partnership is created merely by accessing a Platform or receiving general advice.
  • Any actual franchise, licensing, partnership or distribution arrangement must be documented in a separate written agreement signed by the relevant parties.

Users must not represent that Pitchvilla has approved or endorsed a franchise, partner or transaction unless such approval has been expressly provided.

14Fees, Payments, Taxes and Refunds

14.1 Pricing and payment

Fees will be disclosed on the relevant service page, quotation, proposal, enrolment form, order summary or checkout screen.

You agree to pay the charges applicable to the Service you purchase, including applicable taxes and other disclosed charges.

Payment must be made using an available payment method and in accordance with the payment instructions.

14.2 Service-specific refund policies

Pitchvilla offers different types of Services. Accordingly, refund, cancellation, rescheduling, withdrawal and subscription-termination rules may differ between courses, consulting engagements, events, founder programs, memberships, software subscriptions and other services.

The applicable refund or cancellation policy must be disclosed in the relevant service-specific terms or purchase flow before payment. Where no specific policy has been published or agreed, Pitchvilla will determine the applicable treatment in accordance with the governing agreement and applicable law; this provision does not create a blanket non-refundable rule.

Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer’s mandatory statutory rights.

14.3 Refund processing

Where a refund is approved or legally required, it will be processed in accordance with the applicable policy, payment-provider procedures and legal requirements.

The time taken for the refunded amount to appear in an account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or other financial institution.

14.4 Failed or duplicate payments

If a payment appears to have failed but money was debited, or if you believe you were charged more than once, contact inquiry@pitchvilla.com with the transaction reference and relevant details.

14.5 Taxes and invoices

Users are responsible for taxes applicable to their purchase, except taxes that Pitchvilla is legally required to collect and remit. Invoices and tax documents will be issued as required by applicable law and the nature of the transaction.

14.6 Chargebacks and payment disputes

Users should contact Pitchvilla to resolve genuine billing concerns. Nothing in this clause prevents a user from exercising lawful rights to dispute an unauthorised or incorrect transaction.

15Intellectual Property

15.1 Pitchvilla intellectual property

The Platform and its original content, branding, logos, designs, software, text, graphics, course materials, videos, documents, compilations and other materials may be owned by Pitchvilla or licensed to it.

Except as expressly permitted in writing, you must not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit Pitchvilla’s intellectual property.

15.2 User ownership

As between Pitchvilla and the User, the User retains ownership of User Content to the extent the User owns or lawfully controls that content.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of a user’s resume, pitch deck, business plan, original course submission or other user-owned material to Pitchvilla merely because it is submitted through a Platform.

15.3 Limited licence to Pitchvilla

By submitting User Content, you grant Pitchvilla a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the Service requested by you.
  • Operate and maintain the relevant Platform.
  • Facilitate the specific job application, program, event, consulting engagement or investor introduction you have requested.
  • Protect platform security, enforce these Terms and comply with applicable law.

This licence continues only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to legitimate retention requirements, backups and applicable law.

Pitchvilla will not use a user’s confidential pitch deck, business plan or other non-public business materials for unrelated promotional purposes merely because they were submitted for a service.

15.4 Third-party sharing

Where a Service involves sharing User Content with employers, institutions, mentors, program evaluators, investors or other recipients, the relevant information may be disclosed to those recipients for the stated purpose. Users should review the relevant service description and privacy disclosures before submitting materials.

Once information is shared with an independent third party, that party may process it under its own legal obligations and policies. Pitchvilla cannot guarantee how an independent recipient will handle information outside Pitchvilla’s control.

15.5 Marketing use of testimonials and media

Pitchvilla may use a user’s name, image, video, testimonial or success story for promotional purposes only where appropriate permission, consent or another lawful basis has been obtained.

Participation in a course, event, founder program or other Service does not, by itself, grant Pitchvilla unrestricted permission to use a participant’s image or testimonial for marketing.

15.6 Intellectual property complaints

If you believe that content on a Pitchvilla Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, contact inquiry@pitchvilla.com with details of the material, your rights and the basis of your complaint. We may request additional information before taking appropriate action.

16Privacy and Personal Data

Your use of the Services is also governed by the Pitchvilla Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information may be collected, used, stored, disclosed and protected.

Pitchvilla may process relevant personal information and share it with authorised service providers or relevant third parties as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable service terms.

Depending on the Service, information may include resumes, student profiles, founder applications, pitch decks, investor profiles, account details, payment records and communications.

Users must not submit another person’s personal information without the authority or permission required by law.

Where applicable, users may exercise privacy rights through inquiry@pitchvilla.com, subject to verification and legal requirements.

If a separate agreement imposes additional data protection or confidentiality obligations, that agreement will apply to the extent of its terms.

17Third-Party Services and Links

Pitchvilla may integrate or link to services provided by third parties, including analytics providers, advertising platforms, payment gateways, messaging services, authentication providers, educational institutions, employers, investors and technology vendors.

Third-party services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies and operational conditions.

Pitchvilla does not control all aspects of third-party services and is not responsible for their independent acts, omissions, representations, availability or policies, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded or arises from Pitchvilla’s own obligations.

Users should independently assess third-party offers, employers, investors, educational providers, service vendors and business opportunities before proceeding.

18Confidentiality

Users may receive confidential information through consulting engagements, founder programs, mentorship, investor introductions, business discussions or other Services.

A recipient of confidential information must:

  1. Use it only for the purpose for which it was disclosed.
  2. Take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
  3. Share it only with persons who need it for the permitted purpose and are subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  4. Not use it to compete unfairly, misappropriate intellectual property or harm the disclosing party.

Confidential information does not include information that the recipient can demonstrate is publicly available without breach, was already lawfully known, was independently developed without use of the confidential information, or was lawfully received from another source without a confidentiality restriction.

Disclosure may be permitted where required by law, regulation or a competent authority, subject to any legally permissible notice obligations.

This section does not replace a separate non-disclosure agreement. Where a signed confidentiality agreement applies, its terms will govern the relevant information to the extent of any conflict.

19User Representations and Indemnity

You represent that:

  • You have authority to use the Platform and submit the information you provide.
  • Your submissions do not knowingly infringe another person’s rights.
  • You will comply with applicable law and these Terms.
  • You will not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, business performance, fundraising status or authority.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for reasonable losses, claims, liabilities and expenses arising directly from your material breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights or fraudulent submissions.

This provision does not make you responsible for losses caused by Pitchvilla’s own breach, negligence, misconduct or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20Suspension and Termination

Pitchvilla may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account or Service where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Fraud, impersonation or material misrepresentation.
  • Serious or repeated violations of these Terms.
  • Harassment, threats, unlawful conduct or safety risks.
  • Unauthorised access, cyber abuse or platform manipulation.
  • Misuse of personal information or confidential materials.
  • Intellectual property infringement.
  • Unauthorised commercial exploitation of the Platform.
  • Non-payment of amounts lawfully due, subject to applicable notice and consumer protections.
  • A legal requirement, court order or reasonable security concern.

For serious violations or urgent security risks, Pitchvilla may act immediately. Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, Pitchvilla may notify the user and provide an opportunity to respond or remedy the violation.

Termination does not automatically entitle a user to a refund. The applicable service-specific refund policy, contractual terms and mandatory legal rights will determine any refund or outstanding payment obligations.

Users may request account closure by contacting inquiry@pitchvilla.com or using available account controls. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law.

21Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and general information are provided on an “as available” basis.

Pitchvilla does not warrant that every listing, third-party profile, user submission, course, recommendation, investment opportunity or business projection will be complete, accurate, uninterrupted or suitable for every user.

Pitchvilla does not guarantee specific commercial, educational, employment, fundraising, investment, franchise or business outcomes.

Nothing in this section excludes statutory guarantees or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor does it excuse Pitchvilla from performing express contractual obligations.

22Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Pitchvilla will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of anticipated profits, business opportunities, goodwill or data, arising from use of the Platform or a third-party transaction.

Subject to applicable law, Pitchvilla is not responsible for:

  • Independent decisions made by employers, candidates, investors, founders or other users.
  • A third party’s refusal to provide funding, employment, services or a commercial opportunity.
  • Losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by a user or independent third party.
  • Unavailability of a third-party platform outside Pitchvilla’s reasonable control.
  • Business results that depend on factors outside the agreed scope of a Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability that applicable law requires to remain enforceable.

Where legally permissible, and unless a separate agreement states otherwise, Pitchvilla’s aggregate liability arising from a paid Service will not exceed the amount paid to Pitchvilla for that particular Service during the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or where a mandatory statutory remedy requires otherwise.

23Indemnity and Third-Party Disputes

To the extent permitted by law, a user who causes a third-party claim through unlawful conduct, fraud, infringement or material breach of these Terms may be required to compensate Pitchvilla for reasonable direct losses and costs arising from that conduct.

Pitchvilla is not automatically a party to disputes between users, including disputes between candidates and employers, founders and investors, franchise partners, clients and vendors, or students and independent institutions.

However, nothing in these Terms prevents Pitchvilla from investigating misuse of its Platform, enforcing its own rights, complying with legal obligations or taking reasonable protective action.

24Force Majeure

Pitchvilla will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation to the extent caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, widespread telecommunications or power failures, major cyber incidents, public health emergencies or disruptions to essential third-party infrastructure.

Pitchvilla will take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact where practicable. This clause does not remove any refund, cancellation or other remedy required by applicable law or an express service-specific agreement.

25Changes to These Terms

Pitchvilla may update these Terms to reflect changes in its Services, technology, business operations or legal requirements.

The revised Terms will be published on the relevant Platform with an updated “Last Updated”

date. Where required by law or where a material change requires further action, Pitchvilla will provide appropriate notice or seek consent.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued or override an existing signed agreement unless permitted by law and agreed where necessary.

Your continued use after revised Terms take effect may constitute acceptance where legally valid.

If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected Service and contact Pitchvilla regarding any existing paid engagement or subscription.

26Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable consumer protection law, statutory remedies and any mandatory jurisdictional requirements, courts of competent jurisdiction in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from exercising a right to approach a forum or authority that has jurisdiction under applicable law.

28General Provisions

28.1 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with applicable Service-Specific Terms, Privacy Policy, purchase disclosures and signed agreements, form the agreement governing the relevant Service.

28.2 Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

28.3 No waiver

Failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
